real tired from today's work so i'll keep it short.
Today i started work at hong han's dad's company, located in aljuned as a light industry. I know what you are thinking and NO. I was NOT working in a factory along an assembly line.
My work was relatively mixed, which included the production on new panadol and strepsils shelves cum dispenser. Lotsa D&T work though, where sanding of acrylic took up like 30 % of the workload. Then we passed it to a guy who went on to stick the pieces of plastic together and use a cool mini-flame torch (flame size 1cm by 0.3mm) to touch up on the edges. The 'we' included hong han, yi hong, a young sec 2 girl which i just met and me.(forgot her name but i know it starts with a J)
We proceeded with pasting the stickers on the acrylic which was quite a challenge cause it was important to avoid making any bubbles b/w the sticker and the plastic. Made about 4-6. It does seem very little in a span of about an hour. Yep, but one has to consider the accuracy needed and the use of penknives to trim and cut every bit of extra sticker.(even an excess of 0.05 mm of it could still be removed)
After that, about 6 plus, we made the stands to hold the panadol dispensers. about 400 was needed. Instead of a drop of pdn due to weariness, surprisingly, we got the hang of it and made like 100 before 9. quite a miracle to build the stands. no idea how i can express it in words but it took alot outta me.
Pay was 5/hr. low i know.as what i earned in 9 hrs for today, could be easily acheived by tuitioning for 2 hrs. Lucky no work tomorrow. anyone has a better part time job?
