Finally!!!! They have left! Stayover pals went at noon, where one went off earlier for tuition. Had been planning for this BBQ/stayover for like 1 week.

Bought food, drinks etcetc, all from malaysia (well most of them) costed me almost a bomb. yesterday, I spent the morning tidying up my house. (that's not an easy job you know to zhao dai u guys) Planned to meet up at 10 at bedok, then the whole morning was spent on waiting for each other.......

haha. finally there are people who understand why i don't like walking to school, or the east coast park. Many say, 'Oi... U damn lazy leh..... School so close still dun wanna walk!' Actually it seems very near, but when u walk, u can see the length of the full track. (I bet i used to walk like 1.2km from sch to home almost everyday) Dunno who went to say ECP is jut a 5 min walk from my home... Made her complain so much.

Got to the bikes/skates shack to rent them. spent $12 for mine.... while others paid $8 for a pair of skates for 2.5 hr. Just because my feet were bigger than others, and was a size larger than 9. On hindsight, I shoulda rented a bike. Cheap, and not as torturous. We (mainly 80% andersonians) made our way towards the west of ECP. Most of the skaters were struggling (eg. me) while those who took bikes were better off.

Casualty No.1: Layjia
She went sprawling to the ground, though there seems to be no obvious cause. Probabaly lost her balance. Not like i tio like how many seeds and sticks on the ground. One bad cut on her left elbow left her howling, cursing and swearing for a change from skates to a bike. She began sharing a double bike with Jode(I used to think her name was Jodi). Chao lazy lor.... And speaking of which, Jode seemed to have changed alot, not like the skinny girl with that ponytail tied behind her. She sorta became kinda heavyweight le and her hair's kinda..... brown? "No Lah!!! I swim alot and the chlorine changed my hair colour" May be true, or may not be true... But we all know the answer :P

2hrs later: Took off my skates even though I had another half hour on them. Could barely stand. Leg muscles could not support me. Wah damn tired and pain!!!! Drowned myself under swigs and swigs of ice-cream soda. Had lotsa fun though.

When we were reaching the rental shack, I was like "YAY!!! I'm gonna make a run for it!!! I can't stand to be in these skates any longer!!" so i began speeding up. Weiting just had to say "Eh, If u fall arr.... I'll be laughing my ass off..." 5 seconds later, I found myself sprawled on the ground............ '__' ;'(

K lah i stop here first. I'll continue this after i receive all the photos, and maybe talk abt the night events in my next post. to be continued..........

Decided today not to go with my parents for the second part of the malacca trip. The environment simply wasn't there. Also had other 'pull' factors, like vjco prac today, and english tuition on sunday. So i spent the day at home, playing with what i could lay my hands on. (Friend sent me a computer version of pokemon yellow + I found THE OFFICIAL POKEMON HANDBOOK while clearing my room). Lol bet you don't have that wai wan :P

K. Lucky i decided to come for co prac in place of having vacation, cause i had no idea it was going to be my last. Felt really sad during the 3.5 hour there (The extra half hour was a free bonus by their instructor). Still, I tried to play as best as i could before i disappear from the minds and sight of the people there. (If you are reading this, i'm missing u guys already)

I was quite touched during the prac, firstly when i told clayton that i could not make it into the jc, where he still gave me the feeling that he had wanted me and xian kai to be there with the other sec 4s and him, aside from wishing all of us merry christmas. Next was the vjco instructor, Mr Goh i think, hope i got his english surname right,(it was wu lao shi) saw me struggling with the fingering of the score plus direction of the bow. Then he asked me to borrow and copy the score of Joshua, 1 of the seniors. It was as if they had already accepted me into their circle and had expected me to stay on. getting abit emo now as i type this.... actually VERY emo le, withholding my tears.....

Guess I'll stop here first. Thanks lots for everything, regardless who u are....
I know this post can't convey my feelings but, at least, i know what it is.

Just got back from malacca for a short rest. I'm leaving again on the 22nd and will be back by sunday. 4got to bring my camera along so shots could be uploaded maybe on monday.

Watched Eragon in malaysia for 9 ringgit (relatively cheap compared to singapore's ticket prices, even though it does not have the comfort of vivocity). Out of a rating of 5 stars, i'd only give it a 2. The 1st star would be attributed to the author who wrote the trilogy, cause it takes lotsa effort to write and publish a book. The 2nd star would be the beautiful scenery taken by the cameraman, even though it still does Not beat that in Lord Of The Rings.

Here comes that bad part: CONCEPT. "If dragons had ever existed, they would be the most powerful and intelligent (I seriously doubt their intelligence are second to humans) creatures on earth. Why in the World would they be willing to do the bidding of the teeny-weeny mammals called homo-sapiens?" wai wan.
This is followed by the storyline, which is quite simple. And Oh Yes!!!! One more thing. Did the show have to be that revealing from the start? I mean, we ALL know that the blue rock is a dragon egg. And we ALL know that the young boy was gonna be a dragon rider that could fight and obviously, defeat evil. You see? half the story is already summarised into 2 sentences!
The other thing about the show was...... IT WAS FREAKIN' SHORT!!!!! it HARDLY touched the 1.5 hour mark. They must have had a lack of funds to produce a short film, with not many famous actors and actresses and had to use nature to back the film up. Lucky for them, the cameraman was decent.

Alright, movie review's over. Have been kept busy with planning of an OBS outing cum BBQ on the 29th. Bought food, drinks and snacks....... Now what could i do with the east coast beach? Not easy to think of activities along the beach.... Sigh, back to brainstorming.... Hey what are ye guys doin' here? Reading my thoughts?!!! SHOO!! They are private!!

OK.... I managed to get a place in meridian. May get to see some of u there, though i don't see why some are so happy to get into TP. Many of my primary sch classmates are going Tj, while i'm also surprised that some of them went to unexpected Jcs. I really thought i was one of the weakest in the 6k class.

Still, my aims for going VJ-Tj has not diminished. Maybe i'll get to go after 1st 3 months. And no i'm not gonna appeal for PAE. Cause if i get accepted into Tj, i'll have a moral obligation to stay there. So.... probably not:P

Seems that many who were aiming to go Vj end up in Tj. While those aiming for Tj end up in MJ. Arrr i still can't decide. maybe i should go appeal? though chances of entering may be slim. And the risk of getting kicked in March would be high.

2 more days before the results of the 1st 3 months JC application are released. The worriness of not being able to enter VJ begins to plague me. Ohh I have even lost the enjoyment of playing computer games or watching Tv..... At least, the lost of appetite would be able to slim me down a little. OH Why didn't i write VJ arts into my JAE applcation!!!! Its so late to regret. Maybe the only thing left to do is to pray, hard.

1 month ago, I had this thinking... If i don't get into Vj for the 1st 3 months, I might be able (if i'm lucky) to spend my 3 months in Tj. Then i could have a 4 point buffer for both Vj and Tj, by compiling bonus points for affliation, CCA, and 1st 3 mths. Safe bet wouldn't u say? So I placed my choices in the JAE, with my target for Tj and a lucky bonus as Vj.

Sadly, this thinking of mine (yes I was consoling and calming myself at that time) was majorly altered after I'd attended the vjco camp (ref. previous post). Now I ReAlLy, rEaLlY want to enter Vj for my 1st 3 months. I'm even willing to take on the arts stream (though u guys know very well my humanities are always dragging my grades down) just to be granted entry into Vj.

I'd better not talk to much. In case the irony gods come and hammer me on the head, by posting me to maybe Mj, SA, Cj or even NY. Well good luck to all of ye on the results of your PAE application (though I'd need it more than u guys do).

Ps: Just changed my blogskin, or rather, just the background. Comments shall be fully appreciated, and gracefully accepted. And here's one of the lovely songs i listen to. pls wait for it to load.

Just returned from VJCO camp today (I know i doubt i can enter VJC but i'll try 'ard) Really enjoyed myself for the last 3 days in my group which we niknamed 'jelly', among us are 3 other grps of 'vivo', 'cream' and 'oreo'. Sounds like an assortment of food but could anyone notice that their initials form VJCO?

DAY 1

Reached VJCO a little late, abt 9.05(hee hee, lucky clayton was much later than me). The number of sec 4s who attended wasn't great, abt 3-4 from each sch of chong cheng, St' NIcks, more from DHS and VS. Got sorted into our groups with the J1s. On hindsight, I was actually glad I was the ONLY vs guy in my group, and that had included the participation of the J1s. Jelly had(x-cluding the chong cheng guys cause they came for like only half the camp and was more diff to remember) 3 guys and 5 girls. The 1st thing i did when i was sorted into jelly was staring dumbly at 1 of the seniors, Si Hua(correct me if i'm wrong). Wah!!! There was a great and unthinkable resemblence to a primary school classmate, Mei Hui. Chances are, that they could have been sisters (especially when i found out on the second night that Si Hua had also attended MBS). I've not got round to asking her yet though. The frozeness b/w our group was partially melted thanks to the efforts of Jolie and Si Hua by their enthusiasm and if i may say, egoistic.(Jolie was making up a cheer, 'J is fer Jolie! J! O! L! I! E!' x2.' Plus the sugegstion that the group name to be.... yup! u guessed it. JOLIE!)
We spent the morning in the music room, playing many ice breaking games, where the losers did forfeits. (Clayton did 7 wonders of the world with i 4got who le, while johnathan was shouting "hand to inner THIGH!" LOL)

Took lunch and returned for a short practise for 2 hrs, 1-3. After that, it was time for station games. They'd included twister, mini-wind soccer, drinking from a straw from a height of 2 meters(u have to make ur own super long straw), among many others. Of them, twister was my favourite! Could still remember it well, the curses by the group(Oi!!!! We aren't contortionists leh!), threats by kok jun("Si Hua!!!!! I'm going to throw you down the building!!!!"), the shrieking and laughing of everyone.

Next was the mini-soccer game. Jelly vs Vivo! The girls played first where my team secured a 2-nil lead by half-time (lucky we have a number of dizi players). Then they were subsituted for the guys to play in the second half.("WAH! Zuang Yuan became bai fa mo nui!") Vivo guys had a suona player, Handoko and a sheng player, Kenneth. So u could understand the strength of our opponents Qi. My 1st blow, literally, blew me away. The flour which was holding the ping-pong ball in place blew in our faces, the flinch was mainly due to the eyes. Luckily for us, we only conceded 1 goal, though my attempts at shooting were mainly close calls which bought us some time for a defensive counter.

Captain's ball was fun too, with me being a defender. The only Cap i could not handle was Elroy who seemed to have an extraordanary ability to catch high balls 1 M radius, 360 degrees. It proceeded with other games, a little less enjoyable then those i mentioned b4 practice at night where I went home early.

Day 2

Woke up early, washed and showered b4 taking a walk to VJ. On reaching, realised i didn't bring slippers for wet games later in the day, and a mug for drinks after meals. Ran home to grab them, like a 1.6km run. Reached there sweaty..... "__". Didn't need to play wet games to get wet. Went on with a 2 hr practice in the late morning followed by lunch and another round of self-prac. Many became bored by 2 while the vs guys came together for attempts to play songs like qing dian, chun jie, mei gui hua cai long chuan etc etc... wet games preparation at 2.45. Wear black shirts(for obvious reasons), shorts and slippers or go barefooted. Unlike the VS one, not all the water bombs were used to throw wildly at people. played a wet version of captain's ball. target was to make ur opponent's captain as wet as possible. My shots were painful, but not wet..... and the opponent's Cap, Joel, was great at dodging shots. Naturally, we lost. Then we played Hai Tai Quan. Was my second time playing it. Surprise, surprise!!! I was actually good at it. Won at least 5 of my opponents each round before getting done in. Lol. Wee Ho tried to play a good guy and switched sides, protecting and supporting our grp, Si Hua. Then he tio Johnathan splashing him with the cups of water actually intended for Si Hua. Real funny + ironic. Guess who was the one who actually kept making her drenched.Wee Ho!!!! De mastermind.(And she was one of, if not most, drenched person during the games)

At night, we went to the parade square for a BBQ cum campfire. We had wanted to go to the ECP for a BBQ but could not book any pits. Played bridge for about half an hour while waiting for a fire. Crowding around the flag poles, ghost stories were told. Each from different schools, different history. The fear among us escalated, especially when the chong cheng told their stories. Oh man!! I was freaked. I was pretty scared and was actually considering going home to my comfy bed after a comfy bath. Sick, lame and horror stories filled the air. Then "BOO!" Wee Ho had sneaked behind us. Giving us the fright of our lives. I was pretty scared myself(Though I could still remember Si Hua screaming for a good 3 seconds which could be heard from the other end of the parade square) The BBQ wasn't about much food, all of us ate but little. It was the stories and experiences shared by many provided the environment for fun and laughter that night, not the food.

Past midnight, we began to clear the BBQ area of trash and began washing up. Some of us, including me, was asking for people to accompany us to the bathing rooms at the far ends of the sports building. Horror stories still filled our minds and seemed impossible to let go of. Did not help that the route there was dimly lit while some areas had no lights at all.

Then, after our showers, we went to the music room for an extremely late night movie. While waiting for the girls (as they take AGES to put on make-up and make themselves presentable) we played truth or dare. Completed about 2 rounds before the girls poured in. Of all times, THAT was when i became a victim of the game. Some timing it was..... The dare was: They wanted me to go tap the shoulder of one of the girls which I liked among them. The truth was: Just tell them which girl I liked best in that room. Not much of a choice huh? Lucky they decided to let me off. And No! I'm still not gonna state here which one I liked best.
Girls wanted to watch Ice Age 2 (The squirrel sooooooooo cute). While the guys were in 2 minds about which show to watch. Even 40-yr old virgin was considered by both parties. Thank god there were some (Zi Zao) who managed to convince us not to watch by describing the starting part of the show.(He'd already watched it on a plane and told us it was full of ***) Finally Constantine was chosen.

After the show at about 4.30 am, we went to bed. I slept at about 5. Was quite difficult to sleep on the chairs and tables with a stone cold floor.

Day 3

Didn't sleep well, woke up at 7.00, 7.30, 8.00, 8.30. Breakfast of bread at 9. At 9.45, we had to go pack our stuff and re-arrange the tables and chars in the classrooms which we slept in, and assemble in the music room by 10. Naturally, the guys finished first as they did not have a hundred and one bottles of nail polish and stuff. In the music room, we played truth or dare again while waiting for the girls. Once again, I became the victim of the game the moment the girls poured in. (Sounds familliar?) Congratz to me, some great timing..... Luckily, today's question wasn't as difficult as yesterday's. 'Which girl did you think was the prettiest in VJCO?'. yup. wasn't difficult to answer, though there were a number of them.(I'm still not gonna state my answer here even though I'd revealed it there. There's a chance some of them may be blog-hoppers)

Finally, the bidding for prizes bagan. We were supposed to use points we'd earned over the last few days to bid for prizes. Words can't describe the fun it provided. Jelly was lucky to have bidded for most of the better items successfully. Had merci chocolate, candy sticks and many more. I managed to win a TUBE OF WASABI. oh yeah! After it was all over, goodies were shared while people made their way to LAN centres, while a few went for lunch. Wanted to join them but decided to go home.(Actually cause I would be one of the few guys who would be going)

ARRR!!!!! I had forgotten to ask for their contact numbers and e-mail addresses. Well it was the best 3-day camp i'd been to in my life. My thanks to everyone who made this camp a success. Special thanks to Clayton & Ann Siong who invited me, Si Hua & Jolie for their enthusiasm and support and all the fun VJCO camp had provided!!!!
