Shld pple in the future get cars? Or let public transport do the job. For the namesake? or for the convenience?

They say Sg pple want the 5Cs, of which car and condo is included. I say: Why not minus the car and upgrade the condo to a semi or bungalow? Cars devalue over time. Land in Sg doesn't.(it's kinda the demand/supply thingy) Here's how i see it. Cars are rented to us for a period of 10 yrs. in fact, most experience problems after 3. So why in the world are we willing to pay nearly 100k to rent a car for 10 yrs, where 7 of them experience problems? Now that's minusing all the petrol and maintainence. In the worst case scenario, it costs at least 1k a month every month for 10 yrs just to use a car.

That was the worst of our problems. Alright. Assumming everyone in Sg owns a car. It would be freaking overcrowded la. U see sg now trying to build more roads...... underground and over-head. Even people have commented 'PIE is becoming the new Mass Carpark'. So I'll ask once more. Why do people in Sg still wanna pay 1k a month for more inconveniences? Life ain't complicated enough issit? Muz train stress stamina arr?

K i'm posting about this cause I was damn pissed ytd in the car la. Got car sick. Stupid traffic in town. My Altis was doin less than 10. As if that wasn't enough, we had to start-stop, start-stop. Like boat liddat. Thank god i don't step into town all that often. or i'll need to carry a barf bag.
